Question How to clear NDP table (ipV6)

Hello everybody at LinuxQuestion.org

I'm a developer of some network tools, which were used for doing some testing at our company.

Im working with several linux derivates (Ubuntu, debian, ...), my programming langage is c/c++. For my network communication I use the well known standard socket api.

So no rocket science so far. Nevertheless I've a litte question.

For a small ipV6 testing tool, I need to clear the NDP table (by programm source in c/c++ and not by commandline).

I first suppose to do this with a call to the api function setsockopt, but there is no corresponding option.

So how can I clear this table?

Many thanks in advance,

Elenard

You could either consult the source of 'ip' utility, or call 'ip' via 'system'.
