It is really quite astonishing to look at the developer-logs produced by JavaScript when almost any production website is running. Unlike other programming languages, JavaScript will "keep on going" when errors occur, and it is quite obvious that website developers do not take the time to look at these logs to find the hidden errors in their code.

90% of a web site is based on a now rock solid technology that really does now work on all browsers. HTML.

The rest is ad's and fancy menus and flashy scrolly stuff which, let's face it, if it all stopped working and went away.... from the users perspective the page would load a lot faster, and be easier to read.

If it's an SPA like facebook, so you might not see the latest picture Aunt Cassidy's cat doing something funny. No big loss.
