Hi I recently installed MEMPIS 6.0 on an Acer aspire 3000 laptop , I carnt seem to get the wifi card to work, belkin F5D7010 , i searched for the correct driver and installed it with ndiswrapper ,
i then ran
iwconfig wlan0 key restricted ( with the key)
ifconfig wlan0 up
then
wlan0 scan
(result) cell 01 Address C2:0AA9:30:B0
mode Ad-Hoc
ESSID "ruraltronic" ( my network)
Encription Key on
Channel :6
Quality : 0/100 sig -65 noise -192

so from that i gather that the card is working but i cannot connect through it
do i need to do anything else , the wifi tools in the mepis op center dont seem to see the card or cannot connect through it

If your card is a version 3000ef or a version 3001, you should be using the native linux driver's ... If it's not one of those, and has the braodcom chipset, according to my source, http://linux-wless.passys.nl/index.php it'll never work completely right, anyway.
