Security apparmor firewall...?

In Manjaro, is apparmor and a firewall preinstalled out of the box, or does it need activation?

I don't honestly know, but why don't you search for both in the applications-search menu, click on them and look what these programs say about their status? Writing this from openSUSE tumbleweed, if you encounter obstacles I can fire up my manjaro installation and try to help from there.

Per this article from the Arch wiki, you can determine the status of apparmor with the command

Code:
$ aa-enabled

I have installed Firejail, I see netfilter is installed and firewalld. aa -enabled renders "yes". How can I check if firewalld is running from start up? I am using KDE.

What can go wrong if I start up and one or more of the three applications is not running?
