It is several years since I last had a look at Manjaro. I was not that really thrilled with it to be honest and especially not its installer.
I recently trialled
Manjaro Xfce 18.1.3 (currently using kernel
5.3.11-1) in VirtualBox.
What a difference!
The installer has had a major makeover and it is now easy to navigate and a joy to use.
I was so taken with Manjaro Xfce that I decided to install it on a spare desktop PC.
Manjaro took just under 6 minutes to install.
Out of interest, using a SanDisk Ultra 16GB USB 3.0 drive, I compared the times to burn the 2.3GB ISO of Manjaro Xfce 18.1.3 using the dd command and Etcher.
Results:
dd command: 5m 32s
Etcher: 3m 20s.
