Update without be a member

How to update mandriva LE 2005 without be a member?
Can I use another source like SUSE was? and is there YAST like in mandriva?
can I easilly install a RPM file just one click just like SUSE (YAST) ?

You can try at a public ftp site, such as this one:
SUNET.
Browse through the version, and look for folders called updates, RPM, and/or SRPM.

Read the README files first.

yes there is something like YAST called urpmi

you must first set it up from here : http://easyurpmi.zarb.org/

then you will now be able to upgrade your system and install programs from remote repositories

mandrake control center -> software manager
