Unable to view hda

I have Mandriva installed by itself on hdb to get familiar with Linux as I am planning on converting over from Win*. I have looked through Konquerer to find my internal drive without success. My CD and DVD drives are listed without problem although my hda is no where to be ound.

I would appreciate any assistance you can offer so I can access my hda in Mandriva.

You can mount the hard disk using this command:

Code:
mount /dev/hdbX /mnt/windows
here, X is the number of your hardisk

To know the number, use this command:

Code:
fdisk -l /dev/hdb

Windows partitions are hidden from general users due to the security level you selected during install.

If you switch to root (administrator) you will be able to access them/it.
