Spring loads system processes multiple times

I updated a PClinuxOS installation with Mandriva spring free. All of a sudden Firefox started displaying a slideshow on my website veeeery slowly. But my laptop displays the same pages without a problem. So I searched for the problem and discovered with KSysGuard that I had 8 !! httpd processes running at the same time. And the same thing happens for processes like mingetty, mozilla-firefox, and many other user and root processes.

So I completely formatted my computer and did a clean installation of Mindriva Spring Free. But the problem remains. What is happening? Can somebody help me?
