saneW32 cannot find mandrake server

I've just installed Mandrake 10.0 and also the SANE product.
I'm using an Epson 1260 perection and on the linux pc it works fine.

Scanimage -L

tell me what scanner is connected etc.

On my XP pc I installed XsaneW32 and i've edited the net.conf to include the server ip.

When i now run xsane it searches for devices and then hangs, it also creates a xsane.exe.stackdump file, with some errors in there.

On my mandrake pc i've also tried NO firewall protection, coz i thought that might be a problem, but that didn't help either, still the same problem.

I am able to scan on the linux pc so my best guess is that there is some sort of firewall problem.

Can anyone help me out here?
