Angry rpm data base impossible to open on mandriva 2011


while using mandriva 2011 and trying to install the latest version of adobe flash, i get the message "impossible to open rpm data base". I am at a loss about solving this difficult, help is urgently needed.

That might be the problem.
Also
The last version of adobe flash for GNU/Linux is 11.2, Adobe will no longer develop it for Firefox.
