Printer installing

Hi
Have mandriva 2005 LE installed here without X. I have HP Laserjet1020 that is connected via USB. How can i install this printer? printerdrake won't run in console mode. Whats the tool to configure a printer in console?

uh-oh.. never mind. installed webmin and could add printer through that.

I find that as long as the printer is plugged in and turned on during install Mandriva sets it all up automatically anyway.

Yeah, I know. Unfortunately the printer came alng about 1,5 months after I installed mandriva. Anyhow, I got it printing and everything works fine now. Still it would be interesting to know how do you install the printer via console incase something like that happens again and webmin isn't there to rescue me.

I dont know all the details but you can install, configure etc your printer from the command line as documented in the cups documentation.

Have no idea why i didn't find this from the cups documentation even tho i did browse throuh it. Next time better then
