Hi,

I have scoured whatever I could and I still didn't find a lst of steps to upgrade PHP under Mandrake (or any distro for that matter).
I did things such as ./configure, make and make install, restarted apache but the phpinfo still says I have a version I was trying to upgrade from. Most threads on the upgrade process that I found are either very much distro specific, or end nowhere conclusive, basically a bunch of peopl trying to hel, or get help but no clear answers.

I would appreciate if somebody would willing to post here the steps they perform in order to upgrade say, 4.3.8 to 4.3.10? A link to a tutorial perhaps?

You need to recompile the apache php module, me thinks.

What would the process be to upgrade to php 5? Do i need to remove the old version first or can it go right on top of it?
