Is it bassed on Mandriva, and would mandriva be a better choice. I am new to linux but a friend installed pc linux. I like it but was just woundering which would be better.
I have both distros in use on various systems. PCLOS seems to be the easiest to setup, and the most stable. Mandriva 2006 seems to be a little buggy. Iam very impressed with PCLOS.
Distribution: Mandriva mostly, vector 5.1, tried many.Suse gone from HD because bad Novell/Zinblows agreement

I have tried 2 PCLOS, both failed to recognise my ATI radeon 9250.
But mandriva worked. So as to better choice, try both, create a spare
partition so you can have 2 distros, so in the future you can
always have one for testing and one as default
