Before I used MDK82 but today I tried MDK91! And I must say that its an eyecandy compared to previous one! But I don't know how to log in as root in GUI? Cos the onlything I see is the user account!

there are a dozens of reasons for not logging in as root, but they are generally very boring. do not log in as root, it is a very bad thing.

if you need to run somethign as root, run "su" in a terminal to gain access.

Yep, its MDK way of discouraging one from logging as root. If you really want to go to MDK control center and enable the option.

It is rare that I ever need to log in as root.

Sorry I can't remember exactly where the option is in MCC. I know its been posted on the website before.

KDE hides the root login by default. <K> <Configuration> <Control Center>
<System> <Login Manager> -- select Users tab, then you can un-hide root.
