Modules

Guys,

I have a third party driver for my on board 3Com Gigabit LAN card. It works if I do an "insmod 3c2000" then "ifconfig eth0 up" and then assign an IP address.

Is there any way I can get the system to do all this automatically while booting up??

Regards,
David

what's the distribution? You could edit the files in /etc/rc.d (or /etc/rc.d/init.d depending on your distro).

Edit /etc/modules.conf to include this line:

alias eth0 3c2000

This should do it.

Cheers.
