I got the isos from Mandrake, installed and all is great....except.. I wanted to install some more stuff. I started the software install, picked what I wanted and hit "accept" or whatever. It asked for disk 4. I sure don't have it and can't seem to find it anywhere, I have 1, 2 and 3. Can you give me a hand? Thanx
Disks 4, 5 and 6 only come with the retail versions. Use urpmi to get the specific packages you need. Visit http://urpmi.org/easyurpmi/index.php for instructions on configuring it.

My thanks as well. As a "proxy" user of Mandrake (meaning, I prefer to buy the boxed version, for no better reason to keep them on store shelves), I was a little ticked that they decided to go with "teaser" programs in their downloadable form (which I use to determine if the new versions are worth my time and hassle). I was seriously thinking of skipping this iteration (and might still) just because I hate dumb corporate games, but your link has lightened my disappointment quite a bit. I hope somebody from Mandrake can see my point of view. When I'm asked which distro I recommend, and I say Mandrake (for newbies or people who don't care about understanding their system), I don't want to look like an idiot because they download the free version, and it looks like a hack job. Either include programs, or don't.
I've just read your posts concerning MDK 10 official, disk4 - urpmi issue and have visited the http://urpmi.org/easyurpmi/index.php as suggested by Ph0enix2003.
I seem to have done things correctly and now find new updates available in the database for installation.
The problem is that for some of these installations I'm asked to insert disk n.4 which I do not have ?
Can anyone help me solve this matter.
I thank you all in advance for your kind assistance.
