Greetings! I have installed Mandriva 2006 limited on last Saturday 4-8-06. I am new to Linux. Installation went perfectly except Internet connection. I thought I shall be connected automatically.

My Computer is a three year old Compaq Pressario 700 with 384 MB memory and one GH CPU. Hard drive is 20 GB which I divided with help from Mandriva. I use Dual boot system. I have 10 GB for Windows XP and 10 GB for Mandriva. I have Wireless card at PCMICA slot. I use Bell South DSL.

I can go to Internet when I boot to Windows and go to XP. But I can not use internet when I am at Mandriva.

What I am doing wrong? With thanks.

You will need your windows drivers if your wireless card is not detected. Start the Mandriva Control Center (Configure Your Computer from the menu), go to the Networking Option and choose to setup a wireless connection with ndiswrapper using your windows drivers.
