Eh ? Nothing to do with race , political views or colour
You have a tendancy to read in meanings that areīnt there.

I have no wish to continue any further than to get something clear with you.
That is that you jumped in and chastised me for criticising the distro .

You did not add to the thread with anything useable to fix the problem and still havīnt guru ?

As it has turned out after the fix the problem is with the distro , specifically the programming setting up the upgrade from Mandeiva 2005.
Doing a clean install puts the menuse where they were with a slight change to sub-menu and creates no problem.

Now Guru perhaps you might try to answer the post rather than hawking your problems . My statement is the little Kitchen Kaffir I can remember from 40 years ago and looking at your North England / Zimbabwe location I would have assumed you were white and might have recognised it. You might get it translated if you canīt understand it Bloody Englandīs gone to the pack.

For your information, I wasn't taking cheap shots at you or meant to cause you any offence in my first post and it seems like this is what you thought judging by your responses. I am also glad you resloved your problem and you Linux installation works fine now. You are free to comment on my Linux abilities or lack off and I would greatly respect your personal opinion even if I didn't agree with it.

What I will not stand for, is cheap shots about my race and where I come from because its got nothing to do with my Linux/Unix abilities. Do you even know what the word Kaffir means? I am sure you do, but if not, I will spell it out to you, its an insulting word to refer to a black person, so forgive me if I didn't find your post amusing. Even if you thought I was white, you were still insulting me and this is unacceptable because I did not insult you or use deragatory language in my posts. Anyway from what you've mentioned in the last paragraph of your last post, it seems like I had reached the right conclusion about you. The world is multi-cultural and multi-racial so whether you like it or not, you are going to have to accept it and live with it because there is nothing you can do about it.

To both of you: rather than argue about this on the live forum, you could have just reported it to a moderator. It has now gone beyond the point where this thread is retrievable.

I am closing this thread.
