mandrake KDE problem

with mandrake 9.0 KDE i ran into a problem last night. I had windows open and minimized them, well when i tried to get at them again i couldn't. When i hit the desktop icons it didn't show anything. In the moniter it showed multipe instances of konq being open. Is there a way to get at these, maybe a key shortcut? Logged in as root (doing something else) i seen a menu making all running apps accessible, but no matter what i did logged in normally could i restore/maximize those or any windows

Aren't they in the taskbar? :s
Or if you middle-click the desktop, it gives a menu of all running applications, you can choose from that...

or you can use alt-tab...
