Mandrake 9.1 on iMac G4

I´m trying to install mandrake 9.1PPC on my new (3 weeks old) imac, but the boot-installer is unable to recognise my disk controller (as well as the display - but txt mode works...). Eventually I tried all the ones listed during installation without success

Have anyone tried the imac-mandrake combination with success? What ata did linux accept. The os x installer ended
with a ´can´t open system/preferences´ error....

Any clues....?????

Go here. (Question 9 should be of help)

The instructions are for Mandrake 8.2, but I think they should still be good. Also the current issue of Linux Format has detail on this (page 24 and 25) but effectively it mirrors what's on the Mandrake site.

You could also try going to the Yellow Dog Linux site and looking at their installation guides.

I have read that Linux on Mac flies - but have no personal experience of it.
