Distribution: Still testing the waters. But looking actively at Mandrake 10

Mandrake 10
So with all the posts on Mandrake 10, is it worth the trouble? I have Windows 98 and am thinking of installing linux. I am not a gamer. just use computer for journalism, audio CDs MP3s etc. Perhaps install a DVD at a later date.
I started with linux by getting Mandrake 9.0 PowerPack after deciding I wanted to try it, and my Win98SE was only still good for gaming. I found the extra cds well worth it, things such as modem drivers and graphics acceleration from the install were really helpful in letting me get used to the system and use it, rather than struggle to finish setting it up. After that I got my mate to download me 9.1, and I brought 9.2 PP again, and that has been the best version I've used so far.
Yesterday I finally had 10.0 Official Download cds posted to me from fastdisks.com (good for UK based people) and the install went smoothly and I've tweaked the system a bit, but not really used it yet.
9.2 is definately a great linux distro release to start with, and as 10.0 is an improved version of that really, I would imagine it's even better.
The most important thing is still checking your hardware support, that'll save you the most hassle for your first time.
