Mandrake 10.1 Offiical Again

Hello,
After fighting Fedora I decided I liked Mandrake better so I went back into my Mandrake install redid it and got rid of Fedora. I can get into GUI by booting to fail safe. But I can not get into Gnome. If I boot into fail safe and run init 3 and then type kde it will load up the kde interface.. Kind of annoying..
Anyway to fix it?

well i figured out gnome-session is suppose to do it but instead it does nothing.. gives me an error saying gtx unable to load display so I am still stuck logging into fail safe..

Why are you logging in in safe mode? To start GNOME while in runlevel 3, you need to create a file called ~/.xsession and insert the line "exec gnome-session" (without quotes). You would then just need to run "startx" and GNOME should load.
