Yep this will do the trick as well.
Just to describe whats going on: In ippp.default are a lot of things defined. All things defined in that file can be overidden by definitions in the link/myisp files. This makes it possible to held these definitions in that file at a minimum and makes it possible to have different providers with different configuration. In fact you can configure more then one provider at a time and decide on dial up which one you want to use. I for myself have 4 providers configured. For instance I4L_PPPOPTIONS you have found in ippp.default, you could add that option simply in your myisp file by copying that line and add there what you want. This can be done with all options you can find therein if you need so.

Another thing what is handy is, that i save my link/* files and my pap-secret and i can add them after reinstallation and copy the pap-secrets on the right place, this way i don't really rely on drakconnect
, but thats all another story, lets see if you can fix your problem
