KDE Logout Notification killing sound server.
I've installed Mandrake 9.2 on my laptop and workstation. I use KDE version 3.1.3 for my desktop. I've noticed a problem with the Exit KDE system notification on my workstation. When it is configured to play a sound, and I logout out, it will kill the sound server. I do not have this problem on my laptop.. I have to reboot to get the sound server working again. Restarting the sound server and unloading and reloading the sound card driver module, does not work.
My workstation is an duel processor machine, so I'm using the SMP kernel. In addition, the sound card uses the ALSA ensoenq driver... My laptop uses the standard i_810 driver..
I'm not sure what other information to provide. I've disabled the logout sound notification, so it's no longer a problem. I just wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem.
Thanks,
Glenn
