Question Installing Programs from Command Line Using MCC

Is It Possible to Install Programs from the Command Line using the Mandrake Control Center?

When I run it from the Command Line (not running X), I see a menu but it has no options for installing or managing programs.

Is there any way to interactively install and manage programs that come with Mandrake (On the CDs)?

Thanks, I would really appreciate it...

(Using Mandrake 10.1 PowerPack)

You have to use the urpmi command. Take a look at zebulon.org.uk for detailed information.

Start up Midnight Commander (mc), locate the RPM file desired, press ENTER on it. You can either INSTALL or UPGRADE from there. If there are dependencies issues, just exit mc to view them on the cli window.

This method does not use the Mandrake tools as desired by the original poster.
