hey big voice, about having O/S's read and write from one drive, would that work with applications or games as well, (assuming they dont need wine already)
Yup.
As an example, I use Mozilla as my email client. I wanted my folders and saved messages available to me in both Win and Linux so I set up a folder on my Fat32 partition and saved all my stuff to there. Voila, shared email, bookmarks, etc from both win and Mandrake. I've sinced stopped this simply because I hardly ever boot into Windows anymore and I couldn't see the point. I do keep all my "data" files on a separate Fat32 partition so that all my Windows work is available to me in Linux, and all my Linux work is available to me in Windows. Great trick, and especially nice since my favourite apps (Mozilla and Open Office) are cross platform.
