I just tried this out, and the bootloader worked great!
If I had no floppy in, it went straight to XP. Once I put the floppy in, it went to the grub bootloader screen.
Here I ran into trouble. I'm sure I didn't specify the drive correctly, because it's giving me an error (17 I think) that the partition cannot be found. And I'm now booting to the Linux drive on slave instead of master - with the master being the XP drive.
Can you elaborate on the changes I need to make? I looked at the /grub/menu.lst file and tried to change the linux boot from hda1 to hdb1. But there are all these references to (hd0,0) - do I have to change hd0 to hd1 or something like that? Or is that
Also, you mentioned having to change the /etc/fstab file. Similarly, do I change all references to hda into hdb? Because there are several - like hda1, hda6, etc. And if I change this on my hard drive, am I asking for trouble changing this file (i.e., will I screw it up so I can't boot in at all?!)
Thanks again!
