How do I get sound to work better?
I have problems with some of my MP3's sounding lousy. I'm using my onboard sound card instead of my Soundblaster soundcard, because I can't configure it right to get sound. How do I get the music to sound right, or better yet, what's the easiest way to configure my Soundblaster card?
P.S. what is really strange is that the sound on MPG video is fine.

It may be the arts daemon that kde uses (I assume that's what you use), if that is so then you can try adjusting the buffer. The options are in the control panel (Sound & Multimedia / Sound System)
