How do I copy Mandrake 10 CD's if cds only go up to 700mb/80mins??

Hi, I think I want to try out Mandrake, but how do I copy the cds without a dvd burner?

A few other questions:
Is 10.1 better than 10?

Is Mandrake stable?

Is it easy to obtain new software and upgrades without breaking the system?

Thank you.

I did, but they are 711 mb when my cdrs only go up to 700... Can I still copy them? I don't know why they add an extra 11 mb to each.

They will fit on a 700 mb disc because they are actually less than 700 mbs. I've had this explained to me in the past because the same question came up on another forum and I can't remember the exact explantion but it had to do with there being 1024 kbs to 1 mb. Most people just use 1000 kbs instead of the actual 1024 so it gives you a bigger file size than it actually is. I hope that makes sense.

Also the images contain the RAW data which includes things like ECC information.

as per the 1024 thing -- binary

2 4 8 16 32 64 128 256 512 1024

remember that you're dealing with bits, and not digits... conversions are done in 1024s
