Unhappy glidepoint mouse will not tap

in mandrake 9.2 my glidepoint mouse would let me tap on it and behave as though i had clicked the mouse buton.

now i have mandrake 10.0 powerpack and it will not tap any more!

does anyone have any ideas as i am so used to tapping its getting quite frustrating.

regards
box

ok
have found out that synaptics touchpads do not work correctly under the 2.6 kernel

there are numerous fixes out there.

http://w1.894.telia.com/~u89404340/touchpad/index.html

being one of them.

still cannot get it to work tho!

hope this helps some one else
