Have you typed in a query and started the search? Or do you open it up and it just won't let you do anything?

If you've started the search, make sure you aren't searching the / directory if you have extra disks and partitions mounted--those are searched too and it can seem like it's not responding.

Mine does that to me in KDE. I just use the nautilus search tool at K menu > System > file tools > Search for Files and it works fine.

I only have 1 hdd. I don't remember where i've started search!
But after i click Ok or Search or Find,... it's not worked! And when i 've right-clicked at its windows in Taskbar in order to Close it, Mandrake 've said: "Not Responding"

Maybe i 've started from "/" folder... is the 'cause of this problem?

The / folder is everything, so I'd try narrowing the search.

I've chosen /home/myname/ directory in order to search. But it still "Not Responding" immediately!
