"FBIOPAN_DISPLAY invalid argument"

W.T.F. is that!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it shows up at the end of the mandrake 10.0 install...

and right now even though the install process (apparently) detects my ati card and monitor (like it always did with 9.0, 9.1 and 9.2) for some damn reason it won't start xfree on boot up.... a text window mentions something able KDE not being able to find ALSA drivers, so for the upteenth time i've reinstalled this time without KDE and i've purposely told to not boot in graphics mode...

i'm only hoping that when i type gdm it knows wtf i'm talking about

anyone out there know the command to start xfree after boot up, is it "gdm" or "init 4" or something like that

i'm thinking it's time to go back to what works... Mandrake 9.1

thanks
