Drakbackup and sg0 instead of sr0

In an earlier post today I asked where the backup icon was in MCC. Well I'm sorry to say I found it.
Using rpm I downloaded Drackbackup to a PC with Mandriva Free 2010.2 installed. Following the instructions I started a backup.
Sometime later I remembered why I've not done a backup for several years. Drakbackup fails with the well known (well known after searching LQ and Google that is) "sg0 is a hard disk" (paraphrasing) where it should be looking at sr0 - the CD/DVD writer. I'm now reinstalling the OS again as I lack the skill to do otherwise.
If someone would explain how I will try a backup again.

With hope for any help and thanks for reading.

Use an alternative backup program. There are several in the repo's. One that I've seen recommended is luckyback, although I've never used it. (I use rsync.)
