dns problem in mandrake

Hi there.

I have a problem with my dns settings.
For example when i run mozilla and want to go to google i must use googles IP. so it must a problem with my DNS.
So I asked around a little a people told me to change something in resolve.conf. But the problem is that i cant find resolve.conf in my computer.

So my questions are this, can i make a file my self and name it resolve.conf ? If i can then what should i type there? or is there another way to change the DNS ip?

put the line nameserver X.X.X.X
into your /etc/resolv.conf file note resolve.conf is in your /etc folder as is almost all configuration guff - the X.X.X.X is of course your ISP's DNS server - you will probably have 2 so enter 2 lines my /etc/resolv.conf looks like this:

nameserver 203.96.152.4
nameserver 203.96.152.12

my nameservers are with an NZ ISP :-)
