Yes but sometimes things have a double meaning when you say them. Like the girl who was the great listner, did exactly what here instructor told her to do when he said, turn right here, well she did and she turned right into a fence. instead of a few feet further up the road. I thought Mandriva had a KFax software that came with it.

Doesn't it help to say exactly what you want to do when asking a question?
I should have been more descriptive I agree. I never knew a person could fax through a 3rd party on the internet. I was in hurry because someone wanted a document faxed to them really fast. I thought of this board. I was hoping to find some who was able to use a fax dialer using Kppp.
I really appreciate your willingness to help.

Not sure whether you have solved your problem or not...
I tried to get several different fax programmes working on Mandriva LE2005 and in the end settled for "KdeprintFax" which is easily installed in about one click using Mandriva's simple urpmi system. From there you pick up the program in Menu > Office > Communications > Fax > KdeprintFax. Set up the file that you want to fax with a text editor (eg Kate or KWrite) - not a word processsor. To send, I didn't dial out, just clicked the little thing that looks like a couple of plugs joined together and follow the log. Works "OK" but I noticed the recipients didn't get heavy black print from the low resolution I used. Cheers - phidor
I have tried but I tried using Office Word Processor and never could figure out how it worked. I know with Windows you could do it with "word" and scroll down to your software fax program to initiate a fax.
I did not trying doing it when using Kate or Kwrite. I got into another issue with updating my Mandrake 10.1 Official and I had to do a reinstall. I will attempt and post back.
