Can't find partitions

I installed Mandrake 9.1. The root partition is 5.8 gig, and there was a larger partition of 30 some gigs. when I run the command df -h, it only lists the root partition, but not the larger one. Is it there and how do I determine what it is being used for? Thanks.

I think you should edit the file /etc/fstab and add all of you partitions before they can appear there but I'm not sure check that first. and If you can post the file contents here

Also look at the output of fdisk. Need to be logged in as root

fdisk -l /dev/hdx (thats a small L, replace hdx with actual drive device)

When u installed mandrake did u put a mount point on the larger partition ? in gnome/kde goto configurations... mandrake control panel ... u may need to put in root pass... open diskdrake... and see if the larger partition has a label on it... if not click it and click mount point button (best in expert mode) then type where u want the mount to be like /mnt/hd or similar... click apply... it will update fstab etc for u
