Buy It? Not quite!

Hi
I recently installed Mandrake 10 off the iso cds. I would like to add a few more programs to it. I do not want to purchase Mandrake yet as i'm trying diff. versions of linux. Do rpm's (ie FC2 ) or urpmi work in Mandrake? Apt-get? Or do i have to purchase a yearly membership in order to get the desired programs? I have to say though Mandrake was quite agressive in detecting hardware than most distro's (ie FC2). Any help appreciated.

You don't need to buy it, if you could buy, it will help Mandrake!

URPMI is (in my opinion) the best help you could have in installing packages.

Just configure your sources (see http://nanardon.homelinux.org/urpmi.setup/ ).
