Boot Disk Doesn't Work

Have just installed Mandrake 9.1 on a dual boot Pentium 2 system. Am using the default LILO, and have Windows XP on my primary partition on the first hard drive. Mandrake is on the second drive. The problem I'm having is that the boot diskettes I try to make using the Mandrake Control Center's boot diskette utility do not work. Not at all. I get an error that says the kernel can't be found, and when I check the diskette, there's only one file (54k, I think). Anyone have any thoughts on this? I suppose I could learn to use RawWrite, then make one that way, but is there a way to make the Control Center's boot disk creator work?
Thanks in advance.

Put a blank floppy in ther drive and:

Open a shell command line and type:

su

then type your root password - then type

mkbootdisk <kernelname>

You'll hve to use the exact Mandrake 9.1 kernel name in this command.

I think its something like

2.4.21-0.13mdk

so the command would be

mkbootdisk 2.4.21-0.13mdk
