I remember using this in redhat a while ago and was wondering if apt get is currently made for mandrake 9.2 and if it is could I be directed to the site?
OK. Been messing around in urpmi and so far I have no idea how to opperate it. I must have added 2 dozen different sites, it has to be a mess. Is there a txt file or something that I can go in and erase sites and add new ones easier? Somthing where I don't have to use the command line? If there isn't how do I go about listing all urls and removing them? Is there a way to just wipe it clean and get rid of all existing urls it poitns to?
I've got it pretty much set up now, but I remember apt-get having a nifty remove feature. you'd type something like apt-get -remove xmms and then it would remove that package. Can I do this with urpmi?
[root@user-55-5-55-55 urpmi]# urpmi.addmedia contrib-ttu ftp://ftp.phys.ttu.edu/pub/mandrake/9.2/contrib/i586 with hdlist.cz
unable to take medium "Installation CD 1 (x86) (cdrom1)" into account as no list file [/var/lib/urpmi/list.Installation CD 1 (x86) (cdrom1)] exists
unable to take medium "Installation CD 2 (x86) (cdrom2)" into account as no list file [/var/lib/urpmi/list.Installation CD 2 (x86) (cdrom2)] exists

added medium contrib-ttu
Does anyone know of a mirror that works? I've been going through the list on easy urpmi and none seem to work except for the plf one at mandrake-forum.org
from easyurpmi If you get an error, please check the mirror is accessible, and not over connection limit.
Also, you might want to type urpmi.removemedia -a first, in order to reinitialize urpmi's setup.
I'll try to answer some questions:
[urpme nameofpackage] this removes the package(s)
[edit-urpm-media] edits the media such as removing or adding sources
[rpmdrake] get and install a package via a gui
[rpmdrake-remove] gui to remove multiple files
Also the flag to make the console fucntion after opening a program has escaped me Anyone know what it is? (So I can continue to use the console after opening a program from it, if my description was a bit lacking)
Oh yeah, almost forgot, two new problem popped up while I was searching around. If I try to configure the bootloader both my usb mouse and keyboard stop responding. The same thing happens if I try and open HardDrake. Any idea what's causing this?
