Any other ISDN Internet connection method than from CP?

Hey,

I've had no luck in convincing Mandrake 9.2 to use something other than 'lan' as my Internet connection in the control panel, so I need a way to connect to the Internet that bypasses it. (So I can perhaps get some updates to try and fix it, or at least get some kind of use out of Mandrake!). I connect to the Internet via an ISDN line. I've heard of kppp but can't find it, and I also tried something with a name similar tol 'wmdial', but this gave me an error, about a folder that didn't exist being in use... (presumably there is no 'modem' folder because I don't have a modem, lol!).

So, any ideas?
