Any experience with Epiphany out there?

We've been happily using galeon without complaint, and certainly have been pleased with its clean quick operation. However, as a GNOME shop, we are aware that Epiphany seems to be very much on the horizon now. Does anyone have any direct experience they might like to share?

Well, Epiphany was designed to be "simpler" than Galeon. Personally, I like options, so I like Galeon Better.

Both look and function very similar, but Galeon is more customizable.

Also, In my experience, both aren't very stable, thats why I use Mozilla Firebird.

Epiphany wasn't made the official browser because its better, but because the GNOME team had better communication with them.

Thanks for the heads up.

I've had some problems with galeon crashing, but a browser is a broswer to me and I still prefer that to Mozilla's bloat. Each to his own, I know, but I have the assurance of Mozilla when I have a problem. The reason I was looking at Epiphany had to do with the very thing you brought up - communications. For some time now, urpmi updating of galeon/mozilla has been just a little out of tune.
I was hoping that maybe closer relationships between Gnome and Epiphany would be rewarding down the road.

Besides, you gotta love that name!!

Thanks again,

George
