Post Amarok, "fetch failed"

Amarok has stopped showing wiki and lyrics, it used to work fine (automagically)

I have done a search and found one page where the asker is pushed to install.... something else. link...
http://old.nabble.com/Amarok-2.4.3-Q...d32771297.html

I thinks kde has missed something.

I'm currently running Mageia-1, x86_64, Amarok
Version 2.4.1
Using KDE 4.6.5 (4.6.5)

Amarok worked fine untill I upgraded mageia.

the next release of amarok won't install claiming I need to cd to the source dir and make with explicit args.

Anyone seen this dog?

cheers, Glenn
