Access CDROM for file copy at end of Kickstart install of MDK 9.0

I've spent the last few weeks working on a Customized install of Mandrake 9.0.
9.0 was selected because of the install procedure, I didn't like the newer install type that has network configuration at the end...
Anyway, the customization docs have gotten me quite far in preparing this cd. However, I'm having a bit of trouble with the "postInstall" portion of the kickstart file:

At the end of the OS installation, the commands in "postInstall" appear to work as long as they're working with the hard-drive... I need to copy a few files from the CDROM to the drive before the system reboots, but I can't figure out how to access the cdrom

During the OS portion of the install, the CD is temporarily mounted at
/tmp/image -- but that does not seem to exist when the postInstall section is evaluated.

Next I tried mounting the cdrom as "mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom", followed by commands to copy the files and then unmount... this also did not work.

-- What am I doing this for?
I need to create a single CD installation that will turn a computer into a monitoring server/Intranet/NTP server.
Using:
Mandrake 9.0, Envolution 1.2 (Pre-tweaked with specific modules and settings), Cacti, rrdtool

I'm hoping someone here can shed some light on how to get this accomplished. This has been my holdup for the last few days that I've attempted to work on this project (I dedicate 1 day/week on this for my employer).

Thank you.

Here I go answering my own question...

The problem was using the "postInstall" tag. That runs in a chrooted environment, eliminating access to the cdrom. There is another options "postInstallNoRooted" that should be used instead. Then, the source files may be copied from the cd "/tmp/image" to your hard drive "/mnt" !!!!!

Now to finish up the scripts & polish the rest of the work.. Then the dreaded documentation.
