I have a fast intenet connection switched on an ethernet port (Free ADSL modem : Freebox), when I boot on linux, the initialisation of Eth0 (my ethernet port) is very long (1 or 2 mn).
IP is attribued by DHCP.
Can I enter my IP and my DNS server adress (I have a constant IP) to make the boot faster ?
Is there any solution ?
Thanks if you answer
PS I'm not english, so be comprhensive and forgive me for the write mistake ...
salut,

In Inglish :
The problem cause's was a second Ethernet card, Linux try to connect even if their is no cable wired. If you have the same problem, disable the lauching of your Ethernet card at the boot.
