Unhappy [Mdk 10.0]Freeze after installation of nvidia's driver...

Hi there !

I just installed the latest nvidia's driver for my GeForce 2 GTS on my Mandrake 10.0.
I can start the X server, but after a few minutes, everything, except my mouse, freezes...
I can't do anything, neither Ctrl+alt+F2,3,etc.
I have done everything I could...
But, there is a message that borrows me:
Quote:
libGLcore.so.1 is missing
I couldn't find it directly with urpmi, what's the problem ?

Can anyone help me (I should tell save me ;-) ) ???
Thx in advance.

You have two problems:

1) Linux is pushing your AGP bus too fast and probably enabling fastwrites, etc.

The Nvidia documentation lists the changes you can make to the XFree86 config file to slow down AGP video access which will cure the freezing.

Note this does NOT produce a dramatic drop in performance (usually) and is barely noticible!

2) The second is the opengl libraries.

Again the NVidia documentation lists the required changes.

Thx for your answer !
I looked about it, for the first problem, I mean, and I don't able to find where I have to specify the params like NVAGP or AGPPART (i.e. numbers 0 to 3).
I edited my /etc/X11/XFree86Config-4 but I can't find this, please help

Thx in advance !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's all in the Nvidia driver documentation.

It shows up in both the docs and erratta on NVIDIA's site... also the readmes.
