As stated in the link topic, I finally got #4.1 re-installed successfully from the Classic DVD (using KDE if that makes any difference) - but each time I booted it up this problem occurred (and is still occurring).
This is a minor problem as I just have to type my user name in and then my password. Just curious as to why this has occurred and if it can be rectified easily, and has anyone seen this behaviour before?
In System Settings > System Administration > Login Screen, in the Users tab, you can choose to display a list of users and select the users to be listed.
Jim, so sorry I haven't replied sooner, been a tad busy, and also finally got some replies on the Official Mageia forums and the issue is now rectified.
What I had to do was change the "Below" setting from "1000"to "500" and my username shows up!
Now, I say again, why did this occur during my re-install of Mageia # 4.1 - seeing that when I initially installed Mageia # 4, I did not have to do this to have my username displayed! I had another issue with this re-install that I didn't have to do with the initial Mageia # 4 install as well - as mentioned in my initial post of this thread.
