How do I start Dolphin 2.2 as root?

I want to start Dolphin as root. I've seen this in other distros where there is a red dolphin icon to click on. How can I accomplish this in Mageia3?

I found a reference to su - root dolphin and tried that in terminal, gave it the pw, but got an error message "/usr/bin/dolphin: cannot execute binary file"

So I'm lost. Help please?

On this Debian machine, I can just su to root and start it from the command line with dolphin.

Edit:

On my Mageia 3 machine, when I tried to do that, it threw an error message with ended with

Code:
Session bus not found
To circumvent this problem try the following command (with Linux and bash)
export $(dbus-launch)
I followed the instructions, then tried dolphin again and it ran.

I found a suggestion to use:
Code:
su - dolphin
That seemed to work as well, but I'll try the other method and see how it goes. Thanks.

Alt + F2

kdesu dolphin (or kdesudo dolphin with some distros)

Enter your su password, done.

"su " and "su -" do things rather differently

"su -" moves you to the ROOT home folder "/root "and uses the root account $PATH

"su" used the normal users $PATH
a gui program will not normally launch if you use "su"
but will launch if using "su -"

Warning:
you might WANT to set the root desktop theme to something you HATE , like say "hi-contrast "
that way you KNOW you are using dolphin AS ROOT and know at a glance the DANGERS
