not LQ policy AFAIK. old browsers have a lot of "doesn't work" when a web page uses a new feature. security is another concern. if you pass the check for human (to be sure you are not a robot) and the next pages gets nothing, then it's probably another case of "doesn't work".

depends on where you go. "checking" usually involves the information the browser sends. the usual purpose is to determine how to use new features that are not yet standardized in how to make use of them.

i suggest making a virtual machine in which you run the latest version of a browser.
