post width in ceratin threads

I've noticed this before also on a few occasions. I see that the width of all threads and posts under them is made so as to fit the screen. But there are a few posts where you have to scroll to the right to read the complete post.

See
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...5&pagenumber=9

You will find posts by retiredsoldier, jon1591 and bulliver to be wider than all the other posts in that page of the thread.

Why is this so?

Could it be that a few threads at LQ are jinxed and so... FYI, pages 5, 8 of the above mentioned thread also have such anomalies.

This is because they are using code blocks.

These are designed to keep preformatted text and are a feature by design rather than a bug. They are very useful for ascii diagrams and code.
