New thread botton

HellO ...
first i want to thank you for this informative site
my suggestions just to put the {new thread}or{ask your question} button in the main page may be that would save time because many users logging directly to post
a question ...
thank you

Placing one on the main page eh? What forum would it go to then? If this were to happen, it would then be an annoyance to some when it asks what forum their question should go into, etc.

Why not a new thread button, if it takes one directly to the lq search feature?
